I woke up hungover and feeling depressed
Looked to my right How'd I get into this mess?
Felt something on my shoulder, got to get this weight off my chest
It seems that last night I rode the fat girl express

I was sick to my stomach, a bad taste in my mouth
I heard a noise in the bathroom the door opened and another came out
It was the middle of summer but I think I went south

---

You know you were drinking too much for too long
When you find yourself
Living in a Jimmy Buffet song
I over extended my stay in Margaritaville
I'm still wasted this morning
and will be for most of the day
Now some people will claim
That the worm is to blame
why my brain feels like it's been scraping
asphalt
But I've gotten to know
Jose Cuervo
And we hang out together alot

I'm still wasted today

In margaritaville
My brain feels like
It's been scraping asphalt
That some people claim
There's a woman to blame

The summer's here...
That means blue skies and sunshine
Happy children...
Less work and more play time

The summer's here...
Warmer weather and more vacations
Go grab a beer...
Barbeques and celebrations

Nuclear holocaust
The end of time is near
The missiles are approaching
As people tremble in fear

---

I'm becoming a big fan
Of a guy who's barely five feet tall
He's a man that's making a stand
While all his friends play wideo games
And then go hang out at the mall

Ethan is a thirteen year old boy
Who's probably never even kissed a girl
He's a singer who plays a mean guitar
And he writes songs about changing the world

Daddy said Son it's nice to see you
Just what brings you around this way?
Sonny boy answers likewise
Ah, I'm just passing through
I'm so sorry but I can't stay

I heard about an accident on the train
That I normally take
This morning I overslept
Usually I'm never late
Somewhere along the line
It seems that someone made a mistake
And after the two trains collided
There was enough blood to fill a lake
It took nearly three days
For all the cars to seperate
These next words give me reason to hesitate
On what I will now say
First I must meditate
On the other train
was my son's favorite playmate
Along with his mom
Who was seven months pregnant

---

Do I have strong enough faith
To look back in hindsight
And realize I made a mistake
Or do I pretend things are alright

Am I willing to move on
To a new phase in my life
Write her this one last song
And finally part ways with my wife

Am I willing to move on
Or will I continue to postpone
Is this really her last song
Would I be better off on my own

---

One man searches for power and riches
While his brother would settle for Fortune and Fame
Another Kind brother just wants some bling bling and bitches
And his cousin's a preacher Screaming out God's name

---

She left for work without saying goodbye
Just shook her head and then rolled her eyes
I'm not sure what I did to her
Because when you're hungover as hell
Your morning's a blur

My little black cat jumped on my bed
He looked at me and this is what he said:
He said I got to get out of this house
Get up open up the door and let me out

---

The only picture of this piece
The words on this page
When she calls you up
You drop everything
Time itself stops
When the telephone rings

She inspires the love song
Your whole body sings
When you hear her voice
Your heart soars for She gives you wings

She lives in a vacuum bag
Inside a box
She's got no Internet, no TV
No clocks - just a single watch
Hanging upon her wrist
If it wasn't for her religion
She'd never know what day it is

When it comes to life
She's so innocent, so young and naive
Yet she could speak for a week about Adam and Eve
And she calls you Doubting Thomas because you still don't believe
Says you'll never see Heaven until you fall to your knees

And you say "Please..."

---

Waking up to a cold and breezy september morning
You feel uneasy without any kind of warning
Perhaps you had a bad dream that you cant remember
door in your mind burst at the seams you had to enter

Ghosts from your past are no longer trapped
And they are slowly gaining control
Skeletons from your closet now ask
Will you all finally pay us what you owe?

Sleeping dogs have begun to bark
There is just no avoiding this fact
Each day earlier the sky grows dark
Every night the sky becomes more black

---

With this dark sky forshadowing impending doom
I'm thinking I'd been better off staying in my room
Such a thick layer of clouds seems the sun'll never break through
The way I feel about the weather is the same way I feel about you
Cold, dismal and dreary
whenever you are near me Everything's changed somehow
That is how I feel That's what I face now
Bright, happy and cheery
It used to be so clear to me
But now there's only clouds

---

The town was empty the streets were clear
As I found myself standing here
Everyone had retreated
Back to from whence they [crossed out: originally] came
At least now I finally knew [crossed out: their names]
Everybody by name

And we all got along just fine
Giggling and laughing
And Having a good time
Best friends 'til the end
Me, Myself and I

---

The scenery is changing
The sky is growing bluer
No more loose ends left hanging
You tied the knot then untied the knot
Now you wish you never knew her

But wait a minute this isn't one of those
types of songs
You've shared some great times together
And you were happy that she came along
But then the time came
When it was time for a change

JUST ANOTHER MEMORY

Won't you
Have close your eyes can you still see me?
Listen to my song written for someone so dear to me
Hear every syllable come out the truth
Can you see me?
Have I appeared to you?
Hold onto me... never let me fade away
Need [arrow pointing to 'fade away' with text 'somewhere you know']
Never let me disappear... Don't you mean to me just another?
Keep me real... I never want to become a memory

You're my sole ray of light
On this cloud-filled day
The One who gives finds the me words
When I don't know what to say
You keep me brave and strong
Enough so I can face anything in my way
You're my compass in the wilderness
Keeping my heart full of tenderness
So I won't be led astray [?]

I share my darkness with the morning
It's about time to set back the clocks
I can see now that the world's been turning
From a hole in my prison box
Through my own
Yes, I'd rather sit here in seclusion
Than go chasing after someone else's dream
So many have become entrapped by the false illusion
That all we see is it appears to be
really what

That girl's blonde hair
Comes from a bottle
It's not real

see those knockers
Pure silicone
Go on and cop a feel
of
All the freedoms
That we once held dear
With a lie and the swipe of a pen
Have been stripped I see them disappe
Life sure has changed
So much since yesteryear
I'll become an enemy of the state
When Hope conquers fear
no longer

---

Perhaps I'm being too critical
OF the society in which we live
But some times it's hard to take
when those with the least are the only one's who'll give

12 I'm writing my last will and testament
12 For I've found myself caught in a battle again

Stranded here on this giant sphere we call the earth

18 Feeling sorry for myself sitting on my pile of dirt
Stranded here on this giant sphere we call the earth

I know it sounds deranged
The only time I can get relief
Is when people share my pain
And empathize with my grief
It's probably not okay to think or say
myself to others or myself please become so sorrow with my
So hopefully we'll all get washed away come today

it'll be the very last thing we share and see... tomorrow

I'm back to square one

Looking up at the sky

Feeling sorry about what I've done
Luckily in the only one whose hurt
Wait for the flood
And turn everything to mud
Ruin my last clean shirt

I am watching the sky
Luckily for me I'm not the only one
If these rain clouds don't pass us by

The words on this page
It's such a complicated subject this matter of war
Traces back to the beginning of time if not before
Intertwined with our destiny
Throughout our history
The fate of humanity
Rests within this legacy

The true nature of man is not one of understanding or peace
And the way it stands now violence and bloodshed shall never cease
For it seems that everyone will eventually suffer defeat
All genders and races, all colors, all nations, beliefs and creeds

When she smiles I frown
I picked her up, can't put her down
Within six months I'm leaving town
If I wanna move on I've got to move around

It seems like all my life it's been like this
I always find myself reliving our last kiss
Been a long time since she was mine and now she's his
And yet I just keep on watching all of the things I miss

So I wrote her off and then she sent me a letter
I took some time off hoping my heart would feel better

I woke up this morning
In a place I'd been before
I'm ready to turn the page
first I must close some doors
I thought that maybe I'd been learning
But now I'm not so sure
Once, I found my way out of this maze
Suddenly, I've been returning to my old ways
Perhaps I should pay some more attention
To what my little good book says
In this world of black and white
Sometimes we stay within the shades of gray
I know [scribbled out] what's wrong and right
I know what I want, what I do and what I say
Yet sometimes late at night
I let myself forget what my conscience says
As I lose my {struck: strength} will to fight
This is just the price I pay
I woke up this morning
Or should I say this afternoon?
Thinking about the bridges I've been burning
The only way to escape from this land of ruin
Wondering what the hell it is
That I've been doing?
Things certainly can't stay this way,
For I am the only one I'm screwing

The only picture of this piece
The words on this page
I said you've got to hold on
You say you're not that strong
But that's okay
Just got to get up again
Find [?] out what went wrong
and try it again
That is my advice my friend
Everytime you fall off
Got to climb back on the wagon again
And in time, you'll find
[crossed out: app] you can hurdle your mind
[crossed out: these keep on trying]
And leave it all behind

The words on this page
One single ray of light broke through the clouds
Touched down upon the ground I see her standing there
By the time she had made up her mind to move the light was gone
Though it was never discussed
This strange phenomenon on this scene said so much
She stood there in the cool, crisp refreshing air
At six minutes past dawn
What I have discovered will help guide my steps
She either didn't notice or else didn't care
I was standing there taking in the cool crisp
at six minutes past dawn
What I once could never say or write here
Still remains an unloved deep thought
SYMBOLISM Never spoke so loud
She either didn't notice or else didn't care
Just stood there taking in the cool, crisp refreshing air
At six minutes past dawn
Though it was never discussed
This scene said so much about us
This strange phenomenon

LAST VERSE
So I can't say that this story's finished
Only that I'll soon be on a train
Sometimes you can't wait when creating your fate
Some things are better off left unexplained

BEST LEFT
One single ray of light broke through the clouds
Touched down upon the ground I see her standing there
By the time she had made up her mind to move the light was gone
Though it was never discussed
This strange phenomenon on this scene said so much
She stood there in the cool, crisp refreshing air
At six minutes past dawn
But I know another girl who was made up of sunshine
She's been waiting maybe she's been waiting for me
She's someone who knows just how I'm feeling
Yet she's still uncertain if we were meant to be
So I asked her if I could come see her
For it seems she's now ready to settle down
After five years of travelling all across the country
She picked her favorite state and said
"No more moving around"
searching for inspiration
And I've been [crossed out]
For a new picture to place inside my frame
I have grown bored of everything around me
But I'm unsure of what's to blame
Every day I'm growing older
And a little lower burns the flame
I've been seeking a new set of surroundings
A new life, a fresh face, a new name

I'm getting tired of waiting
For the time to be perfectly right
I'm packing my bags when I get home
And I'll be leaving sometime later tonight
I'm unsure of my exact destination
I desire a warmer locale
Maybe then I'll kick these winter time blues
And brighten up my entire morale
I know a girl who is made up of sunshine
She's been waiting maybe she's been waiting for me
She's someone who knows just how I'm feeling
Considering we've got a ten year history
I just told her that I am coming to see her
For it seems she's now ready to settle down
After five years of travelling across the country

For a new picture to place inside my frame
I have grown bored of everything around me
In some sense I'm returning to from where I came
I can't say that this story is finished
Only that soon I'll be heading west on a train
For sometimes you can't wait
When creating your fate
And somethings are best left... unexplained

More concerned with the theft of identity

Government Sponsored torture is Kinda hard
Especially when you're a prisoner of a misguided war
Lobyists with wads of cash in their fists
To pay off the politicians who find it too hard to
resist
Tax cuts for the corporations and the rich
is the best way to end bipartizen ship
Our Federal banking system is backed by
worthless paper that's so easy to tear
Government sponsored terrorists rely solely
on ignorance and fear
We're losing our Civil liberties so fast
Soon we won't be able to speak, see or hear
IGNORANCE {struck: does not mean} INNOCENCE
Indifference is not a defense
Intolerance hides within all of us
Envy leads to jealousy - but of what?
Both Gluttony and Greed speak of things you dont need
It's illogical and impossible to defeat
And is as shameful as Sloth is {struck: do} to unseat
difficitas {struck: defeat}
I am growing tired of this disposable consumer
Society
Why are those who say {struck: the} our globe isn't
warming still trying to lie to me?
Sure, there's no extinction of species
the ozone isn't depleting
we're not destroying nature with all these
toxins and pollutants our world isn't taking
a beating
Using up all our energy that can not be replaced
While tin cans {struck: and} paper and plastic that could
be recycled are thrown in with the waste
Our seas are over fished and rain forrests
destroyed {struck: cut down}
Why? So men can make money
Me? Personally... I'd rather be one of the

The words on this page
Side of a Building
Graffiti scribbled on the side of a building
Obscenities aimed at the passing children
Such simple words can have such a
complicated effect
On an empty vessel of thought dependent on
a world full of neglect

Things are leading South no matter which way
you faced
What is bitter to your eyes can give your
mouth a bad taste,
with the wind picking up more trash blowing
under around
There are three guys 'neath a bridge
passing a bottle around,

I see weeds along the sidewalk
growing through the cracks
I watch a kid walking alone going
home to a broken home following the
tracks
That
Seems Everywhere I look there's something that
hunts my eyes
They say another day another dollar
with a new day comes a new surprise
Of

It's not just the inner city where things are getting worse
When The intellectual property of so many needs [illegible]
to be rebuilt
or else
reinforced

---

(cut the block after the ---, "Caught up in the rat race of time ... Through the eyes of the divine": not on this photo)
Can't free myself from my mind
Sitting here on this fence
Waiting for a sign
Still searching for something
That may never be mine
Don't know where to look
Not sure of what i'll find
Wanting to see a master plan
Through the eyes of the divine

But I'm unsure of whom or what to blame

Every day I'm growing older
And a little lower burns the flame
I'm seeking a new set of surroundings
A new life, a new face, new name

I'm getting tired of waiting
For the time to be perfectly right
Packing my bags when I get home
And I'll {struck: be leaving} be leaving sometime tonight
{struck: exact} {struck: later}

{struck: ii} I'm unsure of my destination
{struck: It's just a feeling that I got that won't go away} somewhere {struck: warm and green}
{struck: It's not a place, it's just a state of mind} {struck: desire} with a warmer locale
Maybe then I'll {struck: catch} kick these winter time Blues
{struck: made out}
And Raise up my entire moral

I know a {struck: to} girl who's {struck: dropped} Sunshine
She's {struck: always} waiting but I'm not sure if she's waiting
{struck: For me}
She's someone who knows just how I'm feeling
yet she's uncertain if we're meant to be.

So I asked her if I could come see her
for it seems she's now ready to settle down
After six years of travelling all across the Country
She picked her favorite {struck: No more moving}
{struck: state and Said} around

If you're over worked and underpaid
Don't complain just get in line
We are the tracks on which society is laid
Don't complain just get in line
From our backs the millionaires are made
Don't complain just get in line
It starts when you're little kid selling lemonade
Don't complain just get in line

If you're overworked and underpaid
Just nod your head, say you're doing fine
Pick up shovel, grab your spade
Just nod your head, say you're doing fine
Get back to work, carry on your trade
Just nod your head, say you're doing fine

NEVER BE
I told myself that I'm willing to wait
To make my mark
But I've been looking up lately
I notice the sky is getting dark
And the light is growing dim
If things keep progressing at this rate
It might be...my destiny...to be...
A never was...a never be...
As opposed to a has been

I told myself that I am willing to deflate
My own ego
And Try to silence any feelings of hate
That deep inside of me grow even though these toxins
I push [?] I swallow hard and try to bury them alive
I got nothing but time...and my mind...
These years in my prime... and this dedication to rhyme
As my tools to use to help me survive

I got nothing but time
and my mind
These years in my prime
and this dedication to rhyme
to

I told myself that I am willing to bear
My inner soul

I told myself that I am willing to share
What others hide

HERESY SPEAK NO EVIL

Heresy is a dislocation of some complete and self-supporting system of belief, especially a religion, by the introduction of a novel denial of some essential part therein.

Government sponsored torture is kind of hard to ignore
Especially when you become a prisoner of a misguided war
Lobbyists sit with wads of cash in their fists
For any politicians who find it too hard to resist
Seems that tax cuts for corporations and also the rich
Is the only way to build true bipartisanship
Yet our federal banking system is backed by worthless paper
Paper that is so very easy to tear
When you're afraid of not being afraid enough
Domestic terrorists win relying solely on ignorance and fear
We're losing our civil liberties so fast through unpatriotic acts
Soon we won't be able to breathe, speak, see or hear

Yet so many are more concerned with the theft of their identity
Than the absolute total loss of free will and humanity
They lack any great substance
Yet they're filled with such vanity
Sure, it is just pure insanity
This misinformation generation eats up whatever they feed ya
Be it Mickey D's, MTV, shows based on "reality"
all the while Becoming spoon fed by controlled media
Hey, now you can rent a new purse every month
Made from some famous designer
As you become one with your IPhone
That was made somewhere in China
Infatuated by celebrities and American Idols
Fox News, Dow Jones, natural disasters and the homicidal

I am growing tired of this disposable consumer society
Why are those who say our globe isn't warming
Still trying to lie to me?
Sure, there's no mass extinction of species
The ozone isn't depleting
We're not destroying nature with all of these toxins and pollutants
Oh no, our world isn't taking a beating
Using up all of our energy sources that cannot be replaced
While tin cans, paper and plastic that could be recycled
Are just tossed in with the waste
Our seas are overfished and rainforests destroyed
Why? So men can make money

---

Me? Personally...I'd rather be one of the unemployed
(mark the whole bullet list as crossed out)
• starvation
• illegal border crossing
• transient migration
• in and outsourcing
• No more middle class
• Subprime mortgage predation
• No money for education
without universal health care

Now, Would [crossed out: consider] be considered six billion people over population
How could you have all you can eat buffets AND starvation
No wonder there's so many illegal border crossings
constant
and transient migration
en masse
Hence
There's no more need to leave the country to outsource
no more middle class
when you can insource right [crossed out: he] at home for there's
That is if the bank isn't foreclosing on your home
[crossed out] subprime mortgage pedators
As you're wishing that those would [crossed out: become]
have just left you alone
If This is the state of the union
I think [crossed out: a] a state of emergency is what I'd declare
And I haven't even gotten to inflation, funding
(remove; line becomes for education or a lack of universal health care.)
for education or a lack of health care.

I'm not an under a chiever
More what you call a late bloomer
Took me a long time to become a believer
Otherwise I'd a been here a whole lot sooner
I heard it said that I was past my prime
But now I know it was just a rumor
