The words on this page
The light of another day, a fresh page in the book
I've been searching for so long that I don't know
where else to look
Have you seen her? The one with diamonds
in her eyes
A heart of solid gold and a tongue that
never lies
Yes I saw her once but I let her slip away
A picture's worth a thousand words so what
was I to say?
I've sketched her into memory until we
meet again
Her faded footprints still cross my mind
every now and then
The nature of the beast is cruel though acceptance
has been learned
The dwindling hour glass of time has taught
that it cannot be turned
---
The laws we have obeyed
[crossed out text]
The crosses we have made
The lessons we've learned
The fires we've burned
What we have found
Many faces looking down
The echoes of words
The first time they were heard
The small hands that have grown
And the fists that were thrown
The roads we've traveled
The fabric that's unraveled
Foundations that have cracked
The hunted we have tracked

A lesson in politics one on one
I'm sure you'll like it it's so much fun
Every candidate has a rhyme around election time
Saying well do just fine if you wave this sign
Standing on the pedestal waving a fake gold medal
Rubbing on their crystal ball Saying they've been here and
there and seen and done it all
Only after the choice has been made and you dealt
them the ace of spades Thinking this isn't all a game
And you haven't been played Finally when all the
promises have been made You find the scale of
honesty was never weighed As they forget
all they said
Speaking this while doing that they placed one
foot on the platform and then they fell flat
The train they boarded the to the top the engine failed
The track got derailed The conductor was jailed
And the bail collected was never mailed
Every opinion they stated was quoted as fact
They said the proof is in the eye and they said it
with such tact Even though no evidence ever backed
Numbers never lie unless you have the nack So
everyone signed the dotted line before reading the
pact And now everyone complains of paying so
high at tax But {struck: who} once {struck: you} sign a deal
with the devil there's no going back
* Every candidate has arhyme around election time
* Saying well do fine I you wave this sign
Speaking this while doing that
Stand on the pedestal waving their gold medal
* rubbing on their crystal ball They've been there and
* done it all only after the choice has been made
You've dealt them the Ace of Spaids Thinking it's not
a game and you've not been played Then when all

The words on this page
too many buildings, not enough sky
can't solve your problems, until you stop the lies
What about the children? they're being sacrificed
Better to leave 'em to the wilderness Then raise them to be crucified
Got to make it better than this, do more than just incite
Know when to go with the flow, keep the status quo
and then know when to resist, when to raise a fist, to cease and desist
and find an alibi
Too many people to keep them all in line
many better men than me have spent their lives and died trying
I don't try to tend to the sheep being led to
the slaughter
For I've learned that some people's priceless advice
is worth less than a quarter
Funny how somethings are more important
than you first thought them
Only try to aspire to go higher once you've hit rock bottom
when in doubt just picture this...
Know when to go with the flow keep the status quo
when to hope when to pray for it
When to say it
and then know when to resist
Know when to raise a fist
When to cease and desist
when to let it roll off your shoulder
And when to get pissed
can't live like this!
Too many obstacles, you get sucked in by tentacles
Keep on walking in circles, keep on believing in miracles
Believing that you are spirit ual, searching for an oracle
be it {struck: [?]}, mental, physical, biblical or historical
Believe in Freedom
A lesson from Neil Young
Believe in Freedom
Build our {struck: garden} own Eden
Believe in Freedom
Don't leave them in ruin

Confliction is my affliction
Dying from good health
Hey there my only sickness.
That's a pretty nice disguise.
Those Angel eyes
keeping me longing to believe in paradise
But just what do you see
When you're looking at me?
Sometimes I wonder if you're sure
If this is really where you want to be
Are those just memories of the way we were
Or has the past passed away
Uncovering something more?
What's instore? Surely no one of the earth
could know
But we learned before... that Once I loved you
And that love still has room to grow
Like a goldfish in a bowl of water
I could keep you forever or let you go
I get to name the sons
(when and if they come)
But I'll let you name the daughter
(even if it's something silly
or dumb)
You just pick anything you think
you ought to
To be without love

Simply by saying hello
He said kid stop bothering me
There must be someone
else who
you can follow
But his words were hollow
Thus I retreated, in sorrow
Just another who failed to see,
We're all one in the global family
your back ground
your color
[crossed out text], your skin tone, and your race
Nobody ever asked your preference
You know you can't choose your

And as you see your reflection
You realize that in difference
lies the root of [scratched out word] hate
So let us end this debate
over this cityless state As
equality waits...

The words on this page
Just like me
Happiness is a distant memory
So long unknown to me
Living in this world of adultery
Where what you see
Is not really what you see
Where what's to be
May never be
Though unchained
No one is free
Where you can look forever
And still not see
Believing simply that
What's to be is what's to be
God helps those who help themselves
Think twice to yourself
Before you trust in someone else
Or you run the risk
Of feeling just like me

Cry me a river...
ten miles wide
Warm tears can still send a shiver
up and down your spine
Cry me a river...
Then Let me know when you Are through
Nothing was promised
And nothing was delivered ->
Never lost, never one
Never us
(margin: when you're not one / then you should / go back to / being two.)
{struck: No time in my life}
Tired of sitting somewhere dark
watching and Waiting for you

I've got some magic in my pocket
I just need the spark
I Know Theres a fire out there somewhere
A love so warm and true

You keep waiting for her to walk in
And change your life forever
Sometimes you believe that day may come today
other times you think to yourself never
That's why God made the Russians black
Or maybe white depending on your preference
That is why I'm never looking back
By now I've lost my point of reference
Ha Ha ha...
(My plan worked to perfection)
Feeling stranded and left by the side of the road
Seeking tranquility and a place to call home
"Hey baby, you wanna roam with me?"

Tim's Song
How much money does it take?
For you to feel good about yourself?
Would you be willing to give away fifty bucks?
And give it to someone else
To Some one whom you've never met before
Would you ever trust someone who came upon hard times
Would you consider it a lesson well learned
If you got screwed, forget about writing rhymes
Would you part with money
If it meant doing good deeds
Would you trust your [crossed out] honey
To a pack of swarming bees?
what if he talked about being reborn?
A Christian soul who'd Finally found his way
Would you risk a lesson to be learned
For short money would you gladly pay?
Would you put your trust in human nature
Even though you equate it with the devil
If it meant you'd stand tall in stature
Money to be used for good, money used for evil
---
Dust-to-Dust
When you don't wanna remember
Yet you can't seem to forget
Been through the range of emotions
Can't say just one suits you best
I got so much save the world
Rally 'round stuff and a
heart full of [?] love letters
I got a mind that reminds me all the time
to be careful of who I trust...
I'm not sure from where it appears but [crossed out] there's this voice
I hear whispering in my ear
That clearly I should have known better
What [crossed out] was precious...
All that is true...
The best of intentions...
I had and gave these things to you
For there are those
Who like to overdose
on pleasure and love
giving [crossed out] in to lust
Say La Vee (La Vee)
Ashes to Ashes, diapers to diapers, dust to dust
---
TOTEM POLE
I took my axe to the top of my Totem Pole
Flexed my muscles and let that goddamn thing go
With one swift chop a head fell to the ground
Try to bury that sunuva bitch where it'll never be found
I've been climbing the ladder of drugs
Almost to the top of the wrung
And I just decided to take a step down
That's why I swung
Straight down the middle and follow through
You don't get measured by what you say
But rather what you do
Alcohol has had its days, its months, its years
I'll be my own magician if I can make a bottle disappear
Step by step, booze and butts and them bongs
For they've been the inspiration for far too many songs
Almost time to choose something better
Almost time to come back to earth
Almost time to slay the three-headed monster
Almost time to lift the curse
You maybe young but it still gets old
Gotta reshape your life, white break the mold
The one that you created while your ego was being deflated
Your balloon filled up with led so now it won't fly
Just what happened to your head and blinded your eyes?
Your cross weighs the same as your Totem Pole
Every day it gets heavier so you need a bigger hole
Every face has a pair of eyes able to stare into your soul
Once it grows too strong it's out of your control

I just placed my head inside the stove
Too bad it's electric
I felt like this, felt so alone
Does that make me eccentric?
Now I know there's been worse cases than me
But how they found their way out I still can't see
Some call it bad luck, some call it fate
Here a stand in my tunnel as it's getting late
And it's much too late to simply turn the page
For such a creature of habit at such a young age
So many faces over time have just seemed to fade away
In just the past five years not one has stayed
At this moment I can trace them all
I cry out to my self and put another stone on the wall
When my castle is finished they'll be no more hurt and pain
For the drawbridge'll be raised, the windows barred and chained
Maybe then I'll finally sleep in peace and quiet
I'll be all by my self there's no way to deny it
Newer have to worry about who's the next to leave
At least I'll have my own garden to hell with Eve
I've thought about every single day
Come to realize it's the only way
Seeing what I've seen, done what I've done, been where I've been
But they'll be no more troubles if I never come out and no one
comes in

The words on this page
I got something on my mind so I better
just say it...
I hear the music in my heart but I just
can't play it...
I feel good inside but I can't explain it
I don't mind when people cry
I don't mind when it's raining
I don't mind when most people die
And if I said I did then that would be a lie
Between you and me we only need enough
people for the race to survive
Another day, another factory
When you can't build wide you just
build it high
[Chorus: 1st 5 lines]
I've been led to many places by people & things
There's so much out there in which to believe
Many I have loved and then cut their strings
Just to end up watching each of them leave
Have to go and plant another seed
Finding someone or something to fill the void
For idle time is the devil's toy
And sometimes being alone is worse than
being unemployed
For sometimes you're the {struck: ?} Sigfreud,
Sometimes you're the tiger
And sometimes you're Roy

Where is Noah when you need him?
As the water runs God says, "We're even!"
Stupid humans now see what you've done
There's ten feet of mud that fills the Garden of Eden
Yeah, you read the book but called the legend a myth
You never believed it could come to this
With so many false idols you just couldn't resist
Went to church on Sunday then became a hypocrite
You stood on your roof
and you shook your fists

PERHAPS
Oh, someone free me from this misery
Today, not unlike yesterday, is not how
There are still so many people
Gazing up at the steeple
wondering silently if this whole damn
thing ends violently
Oh, Once they used to confide in me
But those days have long [crossed out: gone]
They have passed
[crossed out: too] maybe I was [crossed out: too] wrong
when I asked:
If Judas turned the other cheek
would he have been slapped?
-> perhaps

The words on this page
My presence is important
The fact that I roam the earth
Makes it all but certain
I can be the one who lifts the curtain
Or perhaps the person who pushes the button
Snaps, cracks, attacks
All of a sudden he's putting people in the oven
dozen by dozen by dozen
---
I'm just warming up
to you, to life, to the fact that I exist
I'm just warming up
To what I am and am not what I can and cant [?]
Sometimes I get too close
You know somebody's bound to get hurt
Sometimes are too high or too low
Ya either float on a cloud or ya get walked on like dirt.
---
out on the streets
Raw and uncut
still sticking out the suitcase
That was slammed half-shut
---
Turn the page
write another chapter
You can always pick something else
If you can't capture what you're after
turn the page
---
I hear you say "power to the people"
But I can't find the strength today
Hard to think about tomorrow
When you're still trapped in yesterday
I was raised to stand tall
I guess it took me awhile
Before I knew what I wanted to do
Maybe
Or perhaps I'm just like you
I've been pondering
I've been wondering
[crossed out text]
And I've been pawning
As I've been wandering
Ain't got nothing left to trade
---
My hand is but symbolic of a man who
stands with fist
imprisoned by his watch which hangs. Upon
the clock upon the wall dictates both time
and fate
Inspired on a walk home from
school. I was hurrying to be home
by 9:30 to call my girlfriend
Sitting here
Surrounded by so many
Yet I'm all by myself
The sky is clear
Clouds... there's hardly any
It's a nice day to go out
Looking out the window
wishing for a different scene

Counts his losses
Hears his inner voice ask him, "If it's in you?"
