The words on this page
Neil Young is gettin' old!
Cigarettes look like pencils
So maybe we were taught to smoke
We were taught to trust all priests
That's when I first learned to joke
I got C's in Religion class
Because I taught myself to question
Some questions I was taught
Never to ask without permission
But I was never given so
Some things I learned were never taught
Some things I learned to know
The hard way is the only way
You'll remember a lesson for good
Some things you can learn to fake it
Some things you wished you could

Spirit alive has been reborn
Get this funny feeling deep down inside
Just sittin' in the car and goin' for a ride
Feel my spirit flow outta my soul
A heart lost is a heart stole

Blinded by the sun, choked by the smog
When I'm with you I see so clear

The words on this page
Another one hit wonder?
Just heard such a laim band it makes me wanna write
If I saw them on th streets theyld ask me for my autograph, right?
Wasting up my time with some made up catch phrase
If they got in my mind theyld be trapped in a maze
It takes more to be an artist than having a cute blonde in the band
I wouldn't say nothing but its been gettin outta hand
Sexy says kiss me and I'm thinking outta my head
If I'm her biggest fan then maybe she'll crawl into bed
Another one hit wonder, another one bites the dust
Another one hit wonder, another one collecting dust
Buy the record - see some skin
Another record - do it again
If you want reality then you're better off listening to me
Hopefully I'll be here for awhile before they carry me off to sea
When you're looking for information you know I'm your safest bet
In this world of uncertainty you take what you can get
They say the easy way is living life out on the run
I knew a man who did it and he said it ain't no fun
It don't even matter if you're number one or on the bottom of the pile
Sometimes everybody, everywhere has to walk that extra mile
I'm not a one hit wonder I got more than 15 minutes of fame
I don't play chess and I'm not a pawn in their game
After I'm gone you'll remember my name
Spending sixty bucks on my box set I know that sounds pretty laim
I'll lower it to 15 if to my funeral you came
A man down the street you know he doesn't trust a soul
He never heard of a diamond coming from a piece of coal
I once had a girl who became a part of me
But after my body rejected her I had to set her free
Sometimes I smile the rest all I do is frown
Everytime I'm high something brings me down
There's a girl who I've just met who I'd really like to know
But she's busy 23 hours a day and there's no place for us to go
---
With everything I gain there's ten times more I lack
I try to do everything before I hit the sack
I usually write before I go to bed but I haven't found the nack
Empty blue lines fill the paper while white lines fill my brain
Try tying your galashes when you're standing in the rain
My long hair flowin' in the breeze while others wait in vain
I know those who hurt themselves and those who run from pain
But I, myself, I'm from a different breed
A little less jealousy a little less greed
I don't know you or where you've been
And you don't know me or the things I've seen
I have been burnt by the sun
I've thought I was number one
My toes got stepped on and my back forced to the wall
And like an idiot I got back to them everytime they called
And soon I felt so small
But tomorrow always changes, back to the bottom again
And you'll never be the same for your mind it will bend
So many young minds all around
Yet knowledge is not so easily found
I'm shining up my shoes for a big night out on the town
But I'll probably come home after there's noone around
Though free from my handcuffs my hands are still bound
I'm stone cold like Austin and slammed to the ground
After being up for awhile I'm on my way down
And if I'm a one hit wonder please bannish me from the radio
If it happens to me out to different continents I'll go
When I'm asked I'll say it isn't so
I'll respond I'm just your average Joe
(Not a one hit wonder)

BOB DYLAN

{listen}
Oh Mercy
We live in a political world,
Love don't have any place.
We're living in times where men commit crimes
And crime don't have a face
We live in a political world,
Icicles hanging down,
Wedding bells ring and angels sing,
clouds cover up the ground.
We live in a political world,
Wisdom is thrown into jail,
It rots in a cell, is misguided as hell
Leaving no one to pick up a trail.
We live in a political world
Where mercy walks the plank,
Life is in mirrors, death disappears
Up the steps into the nearest bank.
We live in a political world
Where courage is a thing of the past
Houses are haunted, children are unwanted
The next day could be your last.
We live in a political world.
The one we can see and can feel
But there's no one to check, it's all a stacked
deck,
We all know for sure that it's real.
We live in a political world
In the cities of lonesome fear,
Little by little you turn in the middle
But you're never why you're here.
We live in a political world
Under the microscope,
You can travel anywhere and hang yourself there
You always got more than enough rope.
We live in a political world
Turning and a'thrashing about,
As soon as you're awake, you're trained to take
What looks like the easy way out.
We live in a political world
Where peace is not welcome at al,
It's turned away from the door to wander some
more
Or put up against the wall.

Shaefer is a poor man's beer
Now its brewed in Pennsylvania
Used to be made in New Hampshire
But word has it they all got too drunk there
So now it belongs to me
My girl is a handful of fire
Funny how she used to live in Alaska
She known to inhabit any place she desires
Was she kicked out? No one's had the nerve to ask her
So now she belongs to me
My cigarette was born and bred
When it was placed among friends
To its surprised to Salem, mass.
And finally it sees the light of
So now it belongs to me

The words on this page
I wrote her off and then she sent me a letter
I took some time off hoping my heart would feel better
I guess I'm still soft, as a silk sweater
I guess I was wrong in hoping my life would change with the weather
Will I let it get me down?
No, Never well actually all the time
Everytime I see the sun, the moon or almost anything
at all,

FIELD OF STONE - edit
after a pro got his hands on it......45
minutes later here it is (still needs a little
tweeking)
I remember the night I went blind,
In a field of stone.
Saw haunting and familiar faces 9
Chasing me yet I was all alone 8
And slowly as sanity reappeared,
I roamed the streets.
Living out my deepest fears.
These demon thoughts,
My head was their home. 5
They drove me to search,
For a reason I don't belong.
This mind once thought pure thoughts, 6
Has no point of view, 5
Has become lost in .5
A field of stone; a barren wasteland,9
No one comes through, 4
Now I want all thought to end...it's true. 9
Lying awake in bed,
I meditate.
Still wondering who I am,
So I contemplate.
The order of my Universe,
Great unknown.
Why I act so childish, 6
Even as I've grown. 5
Slowly learning the meaning of life. 9
But to know the truth,
Double-edged sword that scars for life. 7
This mind that seemed so sweet,
Is the same mind that,
Now thinks thoughts so wrong. 5
And I know you may not understand,
But if you knew,
You'd want it all to end like I do.

Often seems like the Grand Canyon long

It is Because of these men that we are born
Why do they seem so far away?

Divided like Night and day
No one's ever crossed the bridge
What the eye sees will change
Perspectives never meet
{struck: One sees long range} One measures in miles long
{struck: one sees} while the other only by feet
Is the way too narrow

The words on this page
RAINING IN BOSTON
Staring into a darkened television screen
While my little black radio softly plays
The smoke floats up from my cigarette
Through a window with no curtains the sun hits my face
I've got to quit smoking
Because its kicking my ass
I've got to give up drinking
It's time to put down my glass
You learn to make up excuses
When you're raised in Boston, Mass
The teachers talk alot about history
And never forgetting your past
This abolitionist state always brags of being free
Since the RedSox had the last black player in
the American league
And the last year they knew of winning
Was way back in nineteen-eighteen
Cry baby cry cry over the spilled wine
Cry baby cry pretend everything's goin' fine
This is my team's theme song baby
So listen closely
So here ya go Billy here ya go Joey
Seems to suit both the highly & lowly

Hey Bob Dylan I'm comin' chasing you
For deepin my heart I know what they're saying
isn't true
The general consensus is that you're the best
But what they don't know is that I have yet to take the test
You know that I'm young and I've still got a trick up my sleeve
And even though I just joined the party I'll be the last to leave
I'm a two thousand and two Patriot
Born and raised in Boston Mass
It's worse denying than facing it
Even though you're old I want to kick your ass
I know you know I've been raised on video games
But the way you and I see the world is still the same
My friends know the only thing you have on me is age
